Kokua Kalihi Valley (Comprehensive Family Services): a 501 (c)(3) non-profit public service organization serving the Kalihi Valley community of Honolulu since 1972. KKV provides services in dental, medical perinatal, family planning, nutrition (WIC), immunization, STD/HIV testing and services, behavioral health, elderly services, health education, social services, transportation, translation, outreach, professional education, youth services, and community advocacy. KKV's mission is to be "an agent for reconciliation and healing in the Kalihi Valley community."
Center on the Family ~ University of Hawai'i at Manoa: the mission of the Center on the Family is to enhance interdisciplinary research, service, and education that supports and strengthens families. The Center is a unit within the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) at the University of Hawai'i.
Center for Pacific Islands Studies ~ University of Hawa'i at Manoa: the Center for Pacific Islands Studies, in the University of Hawai'i at Manoa School of Hawaiian, Asian, and Pacific Studies, is both an academic department and a larger home for initiatives that bring together people and resources to promote an understanding of the Pacific Islands and issues of concern to Pacific Islanders.
Micronesian Seminar: This site has been Improved so check it out A private non-profit, non-governmental organization that has been engaged in public education thirty years. Micronesian Seminar's purpose is to stimulate people to reflect on current issues in their societies. Established as a research-pastoral institute by the Catholic Church, and turned over to the Jesuit Order in 1992, MicSem serves the people of the Federated States of Micronesia, the republics of Palau and the Marshall Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Teaching Educators About Micronesian Students (TEAMS): a website containing useful resources developed by the Pacific Resources for Education and Learning (PREL) to assist educators working in schools with Pacific island students who have left their home island countries.
Teach ReSPCT: a sub-project of the TEAMS work which features a living document that has developed over several years and required the dedication of many Pacific island educators. Appropriately named for the respect it has earned for itself, its contributors, and its contributors; it is a compendium of cultural knowledge aimed at serving the children of the Pacific.
PALM: Pacific Area Language Materials. The PALM site contains a digital archive of approximately 800 booklets that were produced by the Pacific Area Language Materials (PALM) project. These booklets of stories are written in the indigenous languages of the region and serve as teaching tools.
Pacific Resources for Education and Learning (PREL): an independent, non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation that serves the educational community in the U.S.-affiliated Pacific islands, the continental United States, and elsewhere around the world.
Pacific Islands Report: a nonprofit news service of the Pacific Islands Development Program at the East-West Center in Honolulu. The web-publicatioin offers an edited digest of news, commentary and analysis from across the Pacific region, Mondays through Fridays. It is a free, noncommercial service whose purpose is to facilitate communication within the Pacific basin and among developing Pacific nations. The service is underwritten by the East-West Center.
Office of Insular Affairs Statistical Enhancement Program: this web site displays statistical data for the current and former US Insular Areas. These are Guam, American Samoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, United States Virgin Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau. The statistics fall into four general areas: (1) results of census, (2) results of intercensal surveys, (3) administrative records, including yearbooks, and (4) articles.
Volunteer Resource Center of Hawaii: Volunteer Resource Center of Hawaii (VRCH), a 501 (c) (3) private non-profit corporation, was established in 2002 by a group of government, corporate and community leaders who recognized the need for a statewide volunteerism infrastructure to maximize the impact of volunteers in Hawaii.
JUUMEMMEJ: RMI SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC REPORT 2005: This report seeks to bring a better understanding of the economic and social policy issues within the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Published under the Pacific Studies Series, Juumemmej provides thought-provoking reading that I trust will stimulate dialogue and cooperation on ways for moving forward, and bring lessons for the Pacific as a whole.
Plants and their uses in the Marshalls:The Marshallese uses local plants for their medicine which is a way of living in this remote area of the Pacific Ocean and is a part the Micronesian heritage.
The Marshallese Healthy store Project: The Marshallese Healthy Stores pilot program was completed in December 2001. This work would be conducted in collaboration with the Healthy Living in the Pacific Islands (HLPI) project, which is funded by the USDA Agricultural Development Assistance Program (ADAP).
Yokwe online: Over one-third of Marshallese children below five years of age suffer from vitamin deficiency and malnutrition according to several studies published in American health journals this year.Children in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, ages 1 to 5 years, are at high risk of anemia, vitamin A deficiency, and iron deficiency, said a study published in the May 2003 issue of Nutrition.
